Oakhill School honoured us with a remarkable turnout yesterday for the Oakhill School 25th birthday celebration.

The school came to pay tribute to its roots at Woodmill Lane and owners Anouk Edwards and late Chris Edwards for providing the venue for the school when it was first started 25 years ago. In attendance were some special guests, including a number of founding parents, pupils and staff from the very first 1992 Oakhill classes. The entire Oakhill Prep and College walked down to Woodmill Lane for the celebrations.

When the first day of school commenced 25 years ago, the occasion was immortalised with a photograph of the students taken on the Woodmill Lane stairs at the main entrance, taken by then Chairman Andre van Niekerk.  On Tuesday the School took another photograph on the same stairs, showing us just how much the school has grown in 25 years!

The Oakhill Matric students then handed out 250 cupcakes to the public at Woodmill Lane shopping Centre, to celebrate their school’s prestigious birthday.
